Jon Peterson joined Raymond James in 2024 after nine years with Edward Jones. He is a graduate of Baptist Bible College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology. He also holds a master’s degree from Crown Seminary. Jon’s education in finance comes from The College for Financial Planning where he obtained the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation. Additionally, Jon attended the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business to equip him to receive the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
He is a former Pastor and still enjoys preaching and teaching on occasion. Jon Peterson serves as the Rotary Foundation Chair for the Gainesville Rotary Club. Jon and each member of his family are members of the Atlanta Track Club. He and his family attend Christ Place North in Clermont, GA. Jon lives in Alto, GA, and has been married to Shannon Peterson for 22 years. Jon and Shannon have four children: Josiah (20), Titus (17), Chloe (15) and Laci (12). When not in the office, he enjoys trail/road running, all sports, exercising and spending time with family and friends.
