Meet Julia Kelly
If you know me at all you know how I feel about Georgia Tech. So, the fact that you clicked the icon to get here means you must be wondering what is going on. I am proud to announce that my friend Julia Kelly has signed with the Georgia Tech swimming and diving team! She will be a freestyle sprinter for a good Georgia Tech team. Yes, I said some good about Tech, because Julia and her mom Lynn are two fantastic people. I am very proud of Julia because I know she has worked hard to earn her scholarship. I also had the privilege of watching Lynn be the best mother and supporting and loving Julia the whole way through school.
I met Julia and Lynn when Julia was in the sixth grade and dancing for the Gainesville School of Ballet. I had the high honor of performing as Mother Ginger in the annual production of the Nutcracker, and Julia was one of the girls that danced on stage while I acted silly in my costume. Julia moved on from ballet and became he simmer she is today with her mom right there every step of the way. I remained friends with them both and followed her swim career while she was at North Hall High school and her club team. To this day I am also happy to see them both smile when I see them around town.
When Lynn told me that Julia had committed to Tech, I was at first sad to hear the news. I thought, OK, I hope she wins her races and becomes a four-time All-American, but I hope Tech loses every swim meet. Thank goodness I was able to come to my senses and be very happy for my friends.
So, Windsor Wealth congratulates Julia Kelly and we all, me especially, wish you the best of luck next year! Congratulations to Lynn Kelly too, you have raised a might fine daughter.
