4th Degree Black Belts.
I have been honored to train in martial arts at Jim Haymore United Karate since 2000, and I also meet two exceptional people that year.
Ned Beatty was a black belt when I first started, and he took me under his wing as a lowly, but enthusiastic, white belt. I learned how to train and how to be a better person from this great man. So, when he received his 4th-degree black belt, it was essential for me to be there and support my friend.
I also meet a ten-year boy named Jim Haymore VI who was my instructor Jim Haymore’s son. The young man was very talkative, smart, and fun to be around. So, we quickly became friends. Little Jim, as he is now called, has become not only a great martial artist, but he has also become a great man. I was very honored to be there to shake his hand when he received his 4th-degree black belt.
